Bassistaz, UFO BUFO
DJ JA-NE is one of the first legendary wave of drum and bass DJs in the Czech Republic. She first stood behind the turntables in 1997 at the legendary Prague club Punto Azul, where she also worked. She started performing with DJ Touchwood and at the same time became a resident of Punto Azul, where she had her own evening “DnB Heavy Industries”. She also regularly participated in the program “Turntable Lounge”, which at that time featured the top of the Prague dnb scene.
You could hear her sets in many clubs and freeparties across the Czech Republic alongside famous DJs. She also collaborated with, for example, Ostrava’s Dvoika.Troika, Ex-dust, Eastek Sound System, Neurokyme Jungle United, Workshops, etc. During her career, she accompanied many foreign dnb legends at Czech performances. (Panacea, Digital, Masheen, Fresh, Grooverider, Vector Burn, Dial8, Vlad+Dushka, B-Complex, Camo & Krooked and others) and at the same time she represented Czech drum’n’bass abroad (Berlin, Hamburg, Rostock, London, Slovakia, Poland, Austria). Under the auspices of her Prague club Abstrakt, she was the organizer of several successful parties. She is now opening a new club Upgrade, which can be found in Prague near I.P.Pavlov.
Ja-ne likes to play in joint sets from multiple turntables with other DJs. Her most frequent partners have been DJ Kovak, DJ Romana and DJ Babe LN. From the beginning of her DJ career, her choice of music has been very specific – she focuses on fast, dance tracks with straighter rhythms and dense bass lines.
Since 2006, she has also started performing breakbeat sets, and in 2012 she became a member of the DJ group BasSistaz Djane crew and also a member of the Tactical TBX crew.
