Kapre

(SK)

Kapre are a band of long-haired giants from the Island of Muses, mythical guardians of ancient tree crowns who bring music wherever they go. In their own world of imagination and storytelling, they are travellers of sound who guide listeners beyond the horizon through music and movement.

Their sound is a powerful fusion of global influences — blending Indian sitar, Turkish mandolins, Carpathian violins and medieval flutes with energetic guitars and driving rhythms. Through this mixture, Kapre express a universal idea: that music and dance belong to all people, regardless of origin, colour or belief.

The band consists of four musicians: Milko, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and wandering bard; Mani, a drummer with over three decades of experience in alternative culture; Singo, a seasoned bassist with international and mainstream experience; and Melfi, a guitarist whose energy shapes both sound and atmosphere.

Kapre have performed at festivals such as Drienok, Atmosféra, Východná, Slovenské Alternatívne Leto, Sekierske Lúky and Colours of Ostrava.

The festival parade will take you to their concert on Thursday evening and will kick off the main part of the program, don’t miss it!
