Old-fashioned at heart but always forward-thinking, Virtual Geisha is a DJ, record collector, and educator with deep roots in theater and philosophy. After a decade in the theater world, she pivoted to electronic music in 2014, quickly earning a reputation as one of Poland’s most intriguing selectors, known for her passion for obscure and forgotten records.
Driven by the art of storytelling through sound, she curates immersive musical journeys, with her “It’s VG” project serving as a tribute to the vastness of the musical universe. Focused primarily on 90s and 00s gems that slipped through the cracks of the digital era, she revives hidden treasures that deserve to be played and appreciated.
Virtual Geisha is the curator of the Fresh Faces Stage at Carbon Silesia Festival and a co-creator of Carbon Academy, an educational initiative within the festival. She also contributes to shaping the future of electronic music as a member of the Dance Music Steering Committee at EMMA (European Music Managers Alliance). During the pandemic, she founded the now-closed Pop Up Radio, a platform that supported DJs in uncertain times. Occasionally, she brings her sonic expertise into theater and multidisciplinary art projects as a sound designer.
As the founder of VG DJ LAB, she leads a groundbreaking DJ studio that blends technical training with creative mindset development and industry strategy. In 2023, VG DJ LAB was recognized by HEMI (Hub for the Exchange of Music Innovation)—a European Commission-backed initiative—as one of the top 10 startups offering innovative solutions for the music sector.
She is also the founder of Maiko Agency, a consulting agency that helps emerging artists craft and share their stories through an empathic marketing framework, ensuring their voices are heard in an industry that thrives on authenticity.
